Hello Maplephiles,

I watched Yesterday last week and really enjoyed the film. First, I love Beatles music. Second, the premise of the film was so clever. I must say that Lily James is “cute as a button.” I just looked that phrase up on the Urban Dictionary. I am using it correctly, but it makes absolutely no sense.

The Little Projectionist is doing great at camp. He actually wrote us a letter with two whole paragraphs. The first one was about camp and the second one listed all the things he wanted me to send him. He wanted comic books, Magic cards, and gum. Seems fair.

We are not opening Spider-Man this week even though I love comic book movies (and comic books). Instead, for the big weekend we are opening a charming small movie called Wild Rose. You should have some fun and not look up anything about the movie. Just come blindly to see it and let me know what you think.

No Secret Cinema this week to honor our country and allow all of you to go see the tanks roll down the street of Washington DC. We pick the program back up on July 18th when our own Frank Berman will present one of the best movies ever made. It is from the 1980’s and is one of the top 25 highest grossing films ever. It will be great to see on a big screen. Also, I will be hosting Secret Cinema on August 15th and there may be another surprise that day as well.
